All of our mountain communities have manageable
four-season climates.
Of course since the elevation runs from 4000
feet in the Lebec area to just under 7000 feet at the top of Pine
Mountain, the weather does vary. Also,
since each of the communities
are located in valleys surrounded by higher mountains, the weather
tends to be uniquely their own. For example, it can
be snowing in
Cuddy Valley with bright blue skies in Pine Mountain and raining
in Frazier Park.
Most plants that require winter freeze flourish here. The lilacs in the
spring
are absolutely beautiful. The leaves change colors in the fall and
the wild flowers are magnificent in the spring. |

On average we have 17.4 inches of precipitation a
year and that includes 50 inches of snow between November and May.
Temperatures at the higher elevations can be cooler but generally
the temperatures, even in Pine Mountain, are well above
freezing with blue skies. Our winters are not at all like "Back
East", Lake Tahoe, or Big Bear.
